In a unexpected crossover event that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
